Spicy Banana Bread Recipe - Love That Spice
Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 ripe bananas mashed up
1/4 cup plain yogurt (use Greek for added protein)
1/4 cup honey
2 eggs
1/3 cup coconut oil (can substitute with canola oil....but why?)
1 teaspoon Madagascar Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
In a separate bowl, combine bananas, yogurt, eggs, honey, oil and vanilla. Add banana mixture to the flour, folding in until blended. DO NOT OVER MIX
Pour batter into a large loaf pan
Bake 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted directly in the middle comes out clean
Best enjoyed with a cup of our hand-made Indian Chai Tea....simply delicious!
